Ethereum transactions can now be pre-confirmed in just a fraction of a second with new technology from the Ethereum infrastructure platform.
Prev he says its FAST RPC (Remote Procedure Call) allows transactions to be pre-confirmed and set up for inclusion in blocks in less than 200ms — enabling everything from transferring Ether (ETH) and interacting with smart contracts to minting non-fungible tokens (NFTs) at “flame speed”.
A pre-confirmation is an early signal from the block builder indicating that a transaction is likely to be included in the next block, while block inclusion refers to the addition of a transaction to a block.
RPCs like FAST RPC connect crypto wallets to blockchain nodes, allowing users to send transactions and interact with decentralized applications on the chain.
From a user perspective, 200ms could theoretically rival fast Layer 1 blockchains like Sui, where transactions are typically confirmed within 200ms.
The founder of Primev, Murat Akdeniz, published live demo for X on Monday, showing the near-instant transfer of ETH via the self-custodial Ethereum wallet MetaMask, which is he said it is pre-acknowledged for 377 ms and included in the same block.
Akdeniz said his team has been working for more than two years to “charge Ethereum” to these speeds.
Ethereum L1 is painfully slow 😩
Can the developers PLEASE FIX this?!?

FAST RPC has not been extensively tested
The most commonly used RPCs on Ethereum are Infura and Alchemy’s solutions, which, while slower than Primev’s FAST RPC, have a much larger node distribution and are battle-tested under much higher network loads.
More than 400,000 builders use Consensys-built Fat to connect to Ethereum, doc Alchemy enables more than $150 billion in transactions annually from over 100 users worldwide.
Still, Primev’s solution could offer much faster transactions for users who prefer to stay on the Ethereum mainnet rather than switch to Ethereum layer-2 solutions.

FastRPC is relatively easy to set up
Primeva’s solution can be easily integrated by connecting to a crypto wallet such as MetaMask or WalletConnect and replacing Infur and Alchemy’s RPC with FAST RPC.
Users must then deposit funds into Primev’s “gas tank” at the wallet address “0x24A…c2ACf” before they can freely communicate on the chain.
