Franklin Templeton has launched a tokenized US dollar money fund for professional investors in Hong Kong, expanding its crypto offering in Asia.
According to a statement shared with Cointelegraph on Wednesday, US sovereign wealth fund Franklin OnChain is the first end-to-end tokenized asset manager structure that integrates issuance, distribution and servicing directly on-chain in Hong Kong.
The tokenized fund will initially be available only to institutional and professional investors. It is registered in Luxembourg under the regulated framework that enables the sale of investment funds throughout the European Union.
